Nerf wars coming to the Reynoldsville Rollerdrome
Roller Nerf? Nerf Drome? Whatever it’s called, it looks like fun.
Dave Schukers of the Reynoldsville Rollerdrome recently tested an idea—use the skating rink for a Nerf war battlefield. Using obstacles and Nerf guns, participants battled it out with judges watching to make sure they abide by the one hit and you’re out rule.
“This is something that other rinks are doing and having success in bringing in more revenue,” Schuckers said. “It’s something else [we can do] to get the kids off the street.”
Volunteers came to the rink on a snowy night to help Schuckers test the idea and try different formats. The plan right now is to host the first Nerf battle for the public on March 24 from 6-8 p.m.
