Plans for the Reynoldsville War Memorial Park are progressing

The Reynoldsville War Memorial Committee met on August 7 and discussed the clearing of the property it acquired recently.

The two buildings are located on Main Street adjacent to the Uni-Mart. The demolition will be conducted in steps, first clearing the trees and then the two buildings.

Just when the trees will be removed is a matter of discussion, but the committee may hold a special meeting this month to make that decision.

Preliminary plans for the memorial have been drawn up by Ray Bussard of KTH Architects, but those plans are in the process of being updated. It is hoped they will be ready for review this fall.
