The start of the road work on Beaver Drive in DuBois moved to June 3 (Story updated May 20)

If you travel Beaver Drive in DuBois, you might encounter some delays starting Monday, June 3.

PennDOT has announced that a local enhancement project will stretch east from Division Street almost to Shaffer Road. As work takes place, drivers may encounter intermittent flagging of traffic. Drivers should always be alert for the potential of flaggers in the roadway. All work will take place in the daylight hours.

The City of DuBois is footing the bill for the project at a cost of $577,000 with Palo, Inc., of Clarion as the contractor.

Completion is expected before November 5.

The original start date was May 20 but that was changed recently to June 3.
