Jefferson County COVID-19 cases remain at 4; Clearfield County jumps to 16

The latest statistics from the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) show that Jefferson County’s COVID-19 cases remain at 4 with 311 testing negative. However, the number of cases in Clearfield County has jumped from 11 yesterday to 16 reported today with 423 testing negative.

Today, the DOH reported 1,397 new cases statewide, bringing the total to 45, 763. There were 97 new deaths, bringing that total to 2, 292 statewide.

Plans are to ease some restrictions in more rural areas of state on May 8.
